Richie Benaud & Daphne

Ex-cricketer and commentator married Daphne Surfleet in the year 1967. Surfleet had worked for the English writer E.W. Swanton. They live in an apartment in Eastern Sydney. In October 2013, when Richie was driving to his home to his Coogee home in Sydney, he lost control and knocked his vintage car against a brick wall fracturing his vertebrae. He was confined to bed ever since. It was later also found that he had injuries on his sternum and shoulder. He also suffered a lot of back pain. In an interview, he said that he was more concerned about his beloved car than himself.
