Stephen
Rodger “Steve” Waugh was born on 2 June 1965
is a former Australian cricketer and fraternal twin of cricketer Mark Waugh.
Waugh made his first class debut for New South Wales in 1984-85, batting at
number nine and bowling medium pace. Waugh helps to raise funds for ‘leper’
children’s colony in Kolkata. Waugh is a keen photographer and has produced
several tour diaries. He was named
Australian of the year in 2004.Waugh established the Steve Waugh Foundation is
aimed at children who have a disease as illness that does not meet the set
criteria of other charitable organisation. Waugh is the brand face of
Wollongong based health insurance.
