Adam Gilchrist, also known as “Gilly” or
“Churchy” married his high school girlfriend Melinda Gilchrist, a dietician. They
have three sons Archie, Harrison and Ted and a little girl Annie Jean. The
couple was always keen to have a family of four and felt blessed to have
achieved that. The left-handed batsman retired from international cricket at
the age of 39 to spend more time with his family. However, he still plays in
the Indian Premier League during the early six months of the year for six
weeks. Adam maintained that he wouldn’t be coaxing his kid to follow his
footsteps.
